NUMBER PORTING

Number ports typically take under two weeks to complete but can take up to 30 days depending on the response from your current carrier. While these transfers are normally a transparent process, it is important to note that there is always a risk that your current service may be interrupted when these changes are made with your existing telephone company. If you detect or suspect a problem with your line, please contact your Onboarding agent at net2phone Canada right away.

THINGS TO DO (AND NOT DO) DURING A NUMBER PORT

Do not make any changes to your line during the transfer process.
Changes such as cancellations or moves have, in the past, caused telephone companies to deny our port request. Once we have notified you of your port's completion, you may cancel the line with your current telephone company. Failure to do so may result in continued billing from your previous provider.

Determine if you have any services (internet, alarms, debit/credit machines, etc.) running on the lines you are requesting to port, as they will stop working once the port is complete. If you do, please contact your Onboarding agent so they can discuss your options.
