COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Sparking social change through volunteering

In 2023, 12 employees traveled to Lima, Peru with Socios en Salud (SES), a recent recipient of a Boston Scientific Signature Health Grant. Over the course of an intensive in-person week in Peru, employees focused on gaining insights they would use to solve two primary challenges: building a profitable growth strategy for SES and getting crucial HPV testing to people without access to SES’s clinic.

For over two months of virtual support, the team of Champions developed action plans for SES to implement that would help the underserved Peruvian patients supported by SES.
